Summary

Correlation plenoptic imaging (CPI) offers high-resolution 3D imaging without micro-lenses. This novel light-field imaging technique overcomes traditional resolution limits by analyzing photon correlations for superior image reconstruction.

Background:

Light-field imaging (LFI) enables single-shot 3D imaging but is resolution-limited by micro-lens arrays.
Correlation plenoptic imaging (CPI) is an emerging lenslet-free LFI technique measuring photon number correlations.
CPI offers a promising alternative to overcome traditional LFI resolution limitations.
