Basal cell adenomas (BCAs) with abundant S100 protein-positive stroma are a distinct triphasic subset, differing molecularly from pleomorphic adenomas (PAs). These tumors exhibit unique immunoprofiles and genetic mutations, differentiating them from typical BCAs and PAs.
